Job Purpose

To deliver and manage all commercial and operational aspects of the Co business across the Country of operation through effective people management and achieve sales and profit growth in line with the business plan

Job details

·         Work with stores in the region on controllable costs and review profit and loss of each store and see GP margin, GP percentage etc is achieved as per business plan

·         Improve overall profitability by applying in depth customer and competitor knowledge; exploiting systems, processes and feedback mechanisms to gather and act on appropriate information for business opportunities to drive sales.

·         Ensure timely, consistent and efficient implementation of marketing promotions as per the guidelines across all country/region/stores to drive sales and customer service.

·         Work in partnership with the RDC team to deliver an efficient and effective stock replenishment and oversee that stores are adequately stocked and maintain stock cover.

·         Attend business quarterly meet and share quarterly reports on comparable/non comparable, YTD, YOY etc and present appropriate action plans for the same.

·         Direct country finance /accounts to provision of expenses for procurement of non-merchandise requirement on a monthly basis to maintain the proper cash flow and stay within budgetary limits.

·         Support HR in Development and implementation of an appropriate staffing model that reflects the operational efficiency and service needs of the business within acceptable level of productivity in stores

·         Responsible for budgeting the sales and GP for the ensuing financial year , looking at the bottom line growth for the country

·         Identifying new business (store) opportunities with regards to expansion

·         Financially and strategically evaluate schemes prior to presenting them to the management.

·         Evaluate stores and be held accountable for the profitability Vs the projected numbers presented to the management during approval process.

·         Manage the lease renewal process for the existing stores in the region ensuring guarantee of tenure along with necessary compliances and licenses

·         Ensure strong liaison is maintained with the relevant authorities in the Country leveraging the expertise of the relevant department at the Corporate with approvals from the Head of Retail.

Person profile

·         University Degree in Finance, Business Management, Retail Management or related field is required .

·         10+ years’ of relevant experience in Fashion Retail Industry with a direct P&L and People management responsibility .

·         Should have managed atleast 20-30 retail outlets ( of minimum 500 Sqm) and top line Revenue of atleast AED.400 Million per Annum


·         Experience and in fashion retail in gulf region will be an added advantage


·        

Strong analytical skills and influencing skills

·         Capable of managing a team of professionals in a fast paced environment

·         Knowledge of Arabic language would be an added advantage
