RDC Logistics Manager

Job Summary

Leading fashion retailer hiring logistics manager for their operations in KSA, in charge of complete logistics processes involving deep understanding of Surface, Sea and Air freight

Key Responsibilities

OUTBOUND

·         Design and develop warehouse to store distribution processes and drive key metrics

·         Optimize service levels while reducing freight cost in outbound logistics through proper knowledge of tools and technology

·         Coordinate & liaise with shops & internal customers for smooth delivery operations from time to time

·         Manage accounts with haulers, internal customers, 3 PL  to ensure that products are dispatched on due date & time span

·         Obtain on time duly signed delivery notes ( local & outstation ) from all transporters for prompt account receivables/payment collection

INBOUND

·         Manage inbound containerized movement of goods (via Road, Sea or Air), coordinate with corporate logistics team and ensure timely actions and process adherence

·         Liaise and build relationship with customs authority (DBRZ) for a smooth operation

·         Ensure that all inbound & outbound shipments including SASO rejection are processed & shipped by planned order schedules of customers in full quantity

·         Managing & coordinating with external agencies, internal customers  w.r.t. export certificates, all related paperwork’s en route to KSA & GCC confirming prevalent rules & regulations

·         Managing & controlling reverse logistics of consumable items within & outside KSA

DRIVING BUSINESS EFFICIENCY

·         Member of the RDC leadership team & responsible for shaping up & communicating the department’s Organization /Goals /Strategies /Measures    ( OGSM )

·         Identify transporters ,custom clearance agents by signing them annual contracts  & its administration through maintaining their Scorecard /tracking KPI’s

·         Develop a strong logistics team and work environment – training, mentoring of team members

·         Security of  RDC properties & goods as per company policies

Key competencies

·         Strong leadership & capacity to manage 3PL service providers & it’s operators

·         Capacity to manage priorities; adaptability to respond to a fast-growth environment

·         Customer delight: attention to details

·         Focus on operational excellence

education / experince required

·         Post  graduate in management preferably logistics ,engineer    

·         Minimum experience of 10 years in logistics operations and management

·         Minimum 5 years of Background in Retail and/or FMCG environment with complex & large delivery volume operations

·         Communication, clear in writing as well as speaking (good command over Arabic is plus)

·         Good understanding of Microsoft excel

·         Technical knowledge would be an advantage: prior exposure to ERP –WMS & GPS tracking systems

·         Freight cost including demurrages (if, any)

·         On time delivery in Full to shops & Qualitative Service Level

·         Vehicle/container capacity utilization

·         Shipping accuracy

·         Custom clearance for Export shipment within agreed service level
