To support Head of Retail Operations to create
stores which are easy to shop and deliver an inspirational shopping experience
to the Customers, maximizing sales by maintaining
brand guidelines and ensure a consistent
brand image across current and perspective
territories
Key Accountabilities:
- Drive VM Teams to implement & maintain the Co.
brand image across all stores, by executing brand policies, sustaining exceptional
levels of visual presentation, & providing inspirational shopping
experiences for Customers.
- Ensure this is reflected in
effective execution of designing of new stores and remodeling of
existing stores
- Have a thorough understanding of the Co. brand,
which you must embed & ensure it is consistently executed to the
highest standard ( right now the Toolkit) & protected at all times.
- Develop easy-to-shop stores with layouts that adhere
to brand policy, whilst seeking commercial opportunities to flex the
layouts for the benefit of the store & the customers
- Work with the Marketing and Retail Operation Team to
develop & implement a strategic visual plan and display strategies
- Maximize
sales through inspirational visual merchandising standards and techniques
- Approve the
seasonal and
promotional launch LookBooks
- Plan and design Windows /POS/VM as per seasons/promotions etc
- Enhance organizational sales through thorough
analysis of competitor activity and use of visual merchandising material
- Enhance organizational sales through effective store
merchandize layout in accordance with any running campaigns or promotions.
- Drive seasonal sales by preparing attractive festive
promotion campaigns in conjunctions with marketing, operations, and visual
merchandising team in accordance
with the Co. guidelines.
- Maintain VM responsiveness to changes in shop floor
sales by way of design/redesign of layout of store based on sales figures.
- Develop system and process so that improvisations
can be made on the basis of feedback solicited from the customers.
- Review the performance of visuals against sales
targets in the stores and act
promptly to address underperformance with support of RVMM and store
manager
- Analyze the local competition and utilize customer
conversion system to understand store strengths and opportunities and uses
this information to enhance conversion ratio, average basket size and
maximize sales through VM.
- Provide assistance and sourcing merchandise as per
the plans laid down by the merchandisers and inputs provided by the team.
- Ensure minimization of costs by effective allocation
of budgets and manage all budgets effectively.
- Ensure maintenance of optimum level of VM inventory
and availability of fixtures.
- Regularly visit stores to assess & drive
improvements in visual standards by conducting periodic internal audits
and establishing adequate monitoring mechanisms for conformity.
- Plan & manage new store openings & current
store modernizations with RVMM by
developing floor merchandising plan for new opening stores in liaison with
Project team.
- Access & utilize key business information
frequently including space proportionality, best sellers, and promotional
activity etc. taking appropriate action.
- Use knowledge & understanding of styling trends
& store specific customer profiles to drive sales.
- Work with Buying Teams to ensure the correct stock
is purchased to achieve appropriate & effective styling & displays
within stores.
- Liaise with teams
across various functions including Buying, Marketing, and Store Projects
& Retail Teams.
- Develop process improvements and understand recent trends
by participating in conferences related to subject interact with visual
merchandizing, marketing and operations teams and understand best in-class
practices and company requirements.
- Develop & implement an effective visual training
strategy.
- Develop a VM metrics which shows VM as a
value add function and ensure
a consistent delivery on the VM
metrics by both Corporate and Regions
- Coach the VM Team to deliver excellent brand
standards and excellent levels of customer service throughout all stores.
- Role model good leadership qualities setting clear
direction to VM Team & 3rd Party Contractors.

Qualifications & Experience
|
· 10-12
years of post qualification experience in VM department. 4-5 years as Head of
VM.
· Graduate /Post graduate degree in Interior designing /Diploma in
Visual Merchandising/Fashion Merchandising degree from an institute of repute
· Experience in visual display preferably handling an international
brand at a managerial level.
· Knowledge & experience of MS office, Auto CAD & similar software
essential.
