  • Responsible to allocate specific product ranges to stores, maximizing the full sales potential.
  • Analyze and  identify sales opportunities and minimize the effects of slow  merchandise through MIS analysis .
  • Communicate to stores with regards to highlighting opportunities to drive sales and influencing agreed departmental layout
  • Deliver  excellent standards of allocation using systems and best practices
  • Manage inventory flow by region, store, and store groups (to include store size, climate, seasonally, capacity, etc.) to budget
  • Plan proactively, react, communicate, and take appropriate action to meet and exceed budget
  • Implement store assortments in conjunction with buying team, considering store groups (to include store size, climate, seasonally, capacity, etc.) so as to maximize sales, gross profit and GMROI
  • Analyze, monitor and recap core item selling and inventory levels weekly to ensure proper store group/store balance
  • Provide quantitative analysis to support planning, buying and retail (CM) decisions both preseason and in- season to maximize opportunities
  • Ensure that all product is shipped in compliance with product launch dates and new store opening dates
  • Evaluate adjustments to plans and allocations for performance trends and inventory levels.

  • Create plans and forecast that are consistent with the stores' potential to sell
  • Create and maintain smooth product flows by development of outbound flow from the DC on specific timelines
  • Consolidate, analyze and communicate size and location based performance, including sales/inventory comparisons, seasonality and marketing impacts with the manager
  • Utilize analysis to identify profit opportunities and communicate the same to the manager
  • Maintain a replenishment process and recommend changes for optimization
  • Review team targets & replenishment parameters on a weekly basis with the manager
  • Analyze size selling at store level and revise buys to reflect current trends in discussion with the line manager
  • Recommend to Country managers / regional managers the consolidation of broken sizes and colors to best performing locations with approvals from allocation manager
  • Maximize the sales of best sellers by maintaining optimum inventory levels
  • Maintain reports to track status of aged inventory and discontinued inventory and discuss the same with Manager for further action
  • Manage inventory flow to maintain assortment balance
  • Track warehouse inventory status
  • Develop and publish allocation recap by day, by store and discuss the same with the manager for action
  • Communicate store needs to Buying and Planning
  • Manage Key Item stock levels to maximize sales and profitability – Important (need support from Regional Inventory coordinators)
  • Recommend markdowns by SKU to planning and  markdown team
  • Execute the allocation of product to stores and warehouse (3rd party –forward cover) and meet weekly allocation goals for stores – (Important (keep as daily bench mark)
  • Develop and implement new store allocation plan/ re-fit stores  to ensure proper inventory levels and product mix with approvals from the manager
  • Train & develop team members and support manager to induct new team members
  • Meet and agree all performance target and ways f working

Qualifications  & Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent business experience,
  • 3-5 years experience in Allocation is desirable
  • A strong quantitative aptitude, a keen sense of curiosity, eye for detail and passion for retail
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills, proactive and an excellent  team player
  • Strong PC and Excel skills

  • Stock flow management  between CDC and RDC as per assigned region and country
  • Stock balances per country per store
  • Allocation per trends (sales; needs)
  • Right stock , Right quantities , Right place
  • Maximize sales by doing proper allocation and dispatch to regions
  • Maintaining inventory level of CDC as well as regions
  • Balancing the stock allocation as per store’s ideal inventory (under process)
  • Prioritize dispatch as per business needs by keeping track of receipt of each shipment
  • Co-ordination with CDC about the status of shipments allocated and dispatch status respectively.
